in santa cruz. merrill newman landed at sfo yesterday to plenty of fanfare. here is lisa amin gulezian with more. .m. we will start off with a quick first look at the weather with meteorologist lisa argen. >> another freezing cold morning until about 9:00 when the temperatures begin to come out of the 20s and 30s. so as we take you through the morning hours, we will be down into the mid-20s. that sun comes up at 7:13. we are in the upper 20s from novato, napa and santa rosa. san francisco at 39 right now. our coast in in the mid-30s. right through 7:00 very little change. by noontime low to mid-40s. by the afternoon maybe some areas could hit around 50, but overall once again we will be at least 10 degrees below average. just in the upper 40s today. less wind and a spare-the-air day this afternoon. we will look for a moderating trend coming into play as soon as tomorrow. katie. >> warming trend sounds good to me. thank you, lisa. meanwhile in the south bay officials are working to save lives as the temperature drops low enough to create life-threatening conditions. at least four deaths have occurred this week. but to get people off the streets and into shelters is making a difference. we report fr

with a first quick look at the weather. here's meteorologist lisa argen. >> katie, the cold front pushed on with a tenth of an inch and half inch in concord and the north bay. here's a little cell headed towards half moon bay but the bulk of the activity has moved out of the bay area and pink right there was the snow that we saw falling on the santa cruz mountains just in the last couple of hours. and down towards monterey, still some showers. the bulk of the day will be dry with increasing sunshine and cool northwesterly winds. temperatures just in the upper 40s today all over the bay. katie? >> lisa, thank you. >>> right now, there is some snow in the santa cruz mountains. abc 7 news reporter is live in boulder creek. what do you see out there? >> reporter: katie, we have been looking all over this morning for snow. and we finally found it. there's a light dusting of fresh snow here on empire grade road in the santa cruz mountains. perfect for would be christmas trees and that's where we are at the christmas tree farm at the top of the mountain. it started snowing about 25 minutes ago

. >> the meeting in bali was originally scheduled to be finished at 3:00 p.m. local time. lisa, nice to speak with you again. tell us about whether we're likely to see a deal. is it false hope at this point? >> i don't think it's false hope, karen. the mood has picked up at these meetings here in bali. many of the delegates feel that the world's first multi lateral trade deal is inches away from getting this done. the closing ceremony has been delayed and we have been told that negotiations are intense and they are ongoing. it's all down, of course, to one final issue. it's been the issue at these talks, which is the way the wto rules will affect india's state security program, subsidized products over this program. and india could easily reach that level and they would have to pay fines for the so-called moratorium, the so-called peace clause expires. so they are pushing to have that extended and that's what's being worked out right now. don't forget, there's an election coming up in india in may towards the end of the month. they don't want to have to go back to voters and explain the possi
